NextBus - Taiwan Bus Timetable App

Do you often find it inconvenient to check bus (MRT) arrival information? This app simplifies the process by using your location to filter nearby bus stops and provide estimated arrival times, allowing you to quickly determine which bus to take. You can also filter the available bus routes by selecting the desired area near your destination stop.

Currently supports bus (MRT) data for the following areas:

• Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Taichung City, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Keelung City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Changhua County
• Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Pingtung County, Yilan County, Hualien County, Taitung County, Kinmen County, Penghu County, Lienchiang County
• Greater Taipei MRT, Kaohsiung MRT
• Long-distance buses

The main features include:

• Two display modes: "Nearby Stops" and "Frequent Stops", both sorted by current coordinates
• Customizable groups for frequent stops, such as "Commute", "Home", or "Travel"
• Widget support: view arrival times for frequent stops in the notification center without unlocking the device
• All bus routes across Taiwan in one app without the need for separate installations for each city or county
• Automatic location detection of nearby bus stops (MRT stations) and their arrival times without extra settings
• Ability to set multiple "arrival reminders" to avoid missing the bus. Reminders can be cancelled if no longer needed
• Filtering of bus routes based on specific starting and destination stops or locations
• Information provided includes estimated arrival times, bus license plate numbers
• Estimated travel time to the destination stop
• When there is no direct route to the destination stop, alternative route options are provided
• Presentation of bus stops on a map
• Ability to open maps and navigate to bus stops
• Ability to set frequently used waiting stops
• Ability to mark favorite bus routes
• iCloud sync and backup of frequently used stop settings, restoring them when reinstalled
• Feedback mechanism for reporting issues with bus routes
• Support for button narration functionality
• If the estimated arrival time exceeds 60 minutes, a specific arrival time (e.g. 14:50) is shown instead
• Note: Some urban buses do not provide departure timetables, such as Taoyuan, Kaohsiung, Keelung, and Taichung. For these cities, "reference" timetables are created based on the first stop's arrival time data. However, there may be instances of missed buses in these timetables.

Widget features include:

• Opening the widget displays arrival times for frequent stops
• The widget updates every minute with new arrival times
• The order of frequent stops is based on current coordinates

Watch features include:

• Opening the watch displays nearby bus stops (MRT stations) and their arrival times
• If frequent stops are set on the phone, the watch can switch between "Nearby Stops" and "Frequent Stops" modes
• The list prioritizes favorite bus routes set on the phone
• If the location is not precise, nearby stops can be switched
• When reopening the watch within five minutes, the location does not need to be reset

Please note that accuracy may vary due to differences in the implementation of onboard bus systems and improper operational procedures.
