RØDE Microphones is proud to introduce RØDE Rec LE, a simplified version of its professional audio recording app, RØDE Rec.

RØDE Rec LE allows users to experience the core features of RØDE Rec for free, with the option to upgrade and access the complete set of professional features at any time.

Version 2.8 brings some exciting new additions, including a dedicated iPad interface that combines waveform viewing, editing capabilities, and a comprehensive suite of controls all on one screen. Additionally, the interface has been improved for better user experience.

One of the standout features of RØDE Rec LE is its ability to deliver broadcast quality audio. With high resolution 24-bit, 44.1kHz stereo/mono recording (up to 96kHz when paired with the RØDE iXY microphone), users can capture crystal-clear sound. The app also offers live input monitoring and can output recordings in multiple formats such as WAV, AIFF, and CAF. Sharing is made easy with direct publishing to SoundCloud and upload capabilities via FTP.

To unlock the full potential of RØDE Rec, users can upgrade to the full version and take advantage of additional features including output in extended formats like MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless, and FLAC. The app also offers EQ and dynamics control, allowing users to apply compression, high/low-pass filters, frequency cut/boost, and more. Preset recording profiles are available for a variety of common situations such as lectures, concerts, interviews, and more. Real-time waveform and one-touch markers make editing a breeze. Advanced editing capabilities like non-linear cut/copy/paste/crop and waveform looping are also included. Users can normalize volume levels and adjust gain settings to fine-tune their recordings. Direct publishing to Dropbox and extended SoundCloud functionality are additional features that further enhance user convenience.
