I come from a small village in the south, known only as "Mi Ling Village." Beyond its name, I have little knowledge of its location or appearance. The only connection I have is through my grandfather, who has lived there his entire life without ever leaving the village. Despite my numerous inquiries to my parents, they always responded with vague answers. The village seemed to be shrouded in a thin veil, filled with mystery yet alluring in its own way. My parents had left the village decades ago and never returned. After their passing five years ago, the village gradually faded from my memory—until that phone call came.
