“Call Me Three Kingdoms Fan” is a war strategy mobile game developed by Zhi Fei Technology over a span of three years, released in 2014. Set during the tumultuous end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the game features a richly detailed map of historical China, divided into six powers across seven regions, where players vie for dominance and strive to unify the realm.

As the Eastern Han dynasty collapsed under corruption from court officials and eunuchs, regional warlords emerged, leading to a division of territories into six major provinces: Yi, Jing, Xu, Yang, Liang, and You. With the death of Emperor Ling in the sixth year of the Zhongping era, warlords began to declare themselves kings and recruit strategists and generals to strengthen their forces. In this chaotic backdrop, players are invited to align with a faction and take on the role of a leader, aspiring to restore order and establish their legacy amidst the upheaval.

The game's intricately designed cities possess distinct attributes categorized into foundational characteristics, production capabilities, and internal governance. The foundational attributes reveal which nation controls a city and its land quantity. Internal governance attributes involve stability, defense, and transport; these require players to engage actively in managing local affairs to bolster city status.

Players have the option to create their domains in cities by selecting available land. Each player may only establish one domain per city, constrained by that city's total land availability. Domains can consist of either vacant or uncultivated lands. Construction offices manage these domains; vacant lands allow for building various structures while uncultivated areas need investment to transform into usable lands.

The array of buildings includes construction offices to enhance building speed; granaries for food production; lumber mills for timber; mines for iron; residential buildings generating wealth; and barracks for troop recruitment.

The recruitment process enables players to enlist generals: ordinary generals exhibit standard growth without skills, whereas legendary figures from the Three Kingdoms era boast superior stats and unique abilities. Renowned generals such as Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Cao Cao not only wield exceptional stats but also possess distinctive skills that significantly impact gameplay.

Once generals are acquired, players can construct barracks within their domains. Barracks automatically gather new soldiers while consuming resources like food and timber. The game incorporates three types of troops—infantry, cavalry, and archers—with inherent strengths and weaknesses against one another. The synergy between troops and generals can greatly influence battle outcomes.

With assembled forces, players engage in domestic governance at city gates—repairing walls, maintaining roads, and conducting patrols—all actions aimed at improving city governance attributes while yielding experience points. Players may also challenge adversary generals in head-to-head duels at the capital’s military office.

Upon amassing sufficient provisions and training their generals adequately, players can launch expeditions against neighboring territories. Troops infiltrate local strongholds before advancing towards rival cities. Combat occurs automatically without player intervention; therefore, troops must carry ample supplies to sustain their operations. Strategic planning prior to engagement is essential as players marshal vast armies in epic confrontations seeking ultimate unification of the realm.
