Kids Hangul is an educational application designed to facilitate early childhood learning of the Korean alphabet (Hangul) through engaging and varied activities such as games, drawing, and tracing exercises. The interface combines entertainment with pedagogical elements to keep children motivated and interested.

To participate in the games, children earn star points, which require completing tracing exercises. This integrated approach encourages active learning—children collect stars by practicing handwriting, which in turn unlocks game content. The tracing activities are automated, guiding children step-by-step through the correct stroke order, allowing them to focus on the sequence. To enhance engagement, visual effects and sound effects are implemented to reduce potential boredom.

The content is divided into several sections:

• Korean Letter Games (Learning consonants and vowels)
  • Hangul Pang: Match animals with their corresponding consonants and vowels.
  • Arrow Shooting: Aim and shoot arrows at targets to reinforce learning of Hangul characters.
  • Card Game: Find and flip matching cards to enhance recognition skills.
• Word Activities
  • Word Balloon: Pop bubbles containing related words and images.
  • Arrow Shooting: Shoot arrows to match words with corresponding images.
  • Color Matching: Match card colors to words for associative learning.
  • Card Game: Flip matching cards to improve memory and recognition.
• Coloring
  • Features include adjustable pen size, eleven different colors, and five pen shapes. Users can easily create drawings, which can be saved for future viewing.
• Tracing Consonants and Vowels
  • Includes 14 consonants and 10 vowels, totaling 24 characters for practice.

Word Tracing

• Includes 28 words such as “ 가지” (branch) through “ 휴대폰” (cellphone), each presented with two examples for vocabulary reinforcement from basic concepts to more complex words.
