The Kia Digital Key is a new service that allows users to open the vehicle doors and start the engine using NFC and Bluetooth communication on their smartphones.

The Kia Digital Key App provides various functions such as door lock/unlock, remote start, emergency alarm, and trunk opening through Bluetooth remote control. Users can also easily share the digital key with family members or acquaintances using the Kia Digital Key App.

[Key Features]

1. Door Lock/Unlock (NFC): Users can unlock the smartphone's screen, place the smartphone's NFC antenna on the vehicle's door handle, and authenticate the digital key through the NFC antenna attached to the door handle to lock/unlock the doors.
2. Engine Start (NFC): Users can unlock the smartphone's screen on the vehicle's integrated wireless charger with NFC antenna, place the smartphone's NFC antenna facing downwards, press the brake, and then press the engine start button to start the engine through authentication with the NFC antenna installed in the wireless charger.
3. Remote Control (Bluetooth): Users can lock/unlock the vehicle doors, activate emergency alarm, and control remote start function near the vehicle through low-power Bluetooth remote control. Remote control is not possible while another user is remotely controlling the vehicle.

[Additional Features]

1. Vehicle Status Information: Users can check the status information of the vehicle being used with the digital key in the Kia Digital Key App.
   • Driving Information: Cumulative distance (km), fuel efficiency (km/L), remaining driving range (km), fuel level (L)
   • Status Information: Tire air pressure, vehicle door lock and unlock status, trunk open status
     • The displayed information is based on the last moment when the smartphone with NFC or Bluetooth communication was connected to the vehicle. Therefore, the actual vehicle status may differ.
2. Vehicle Personalization Settings: Users can link the digital key with the vehicle user's profile on the AVN screen.
   • AVN Menu: Settings > User Profiles > Link Digital Key (Smartphone)
   • When entering the vehicle with a smartphone linked to the profile, side mirror and driver seat positions, AVN settings, etc., will be adjusted according to the user's profile.

[Sharing Function]

Users can share the key with family members, acquaintances, or colleagues using the sharing function of Kia Digital Key. Users can check the current key sharing status by pressing the digital key sharing button. Up to three people can be shared. Press the "+" button to access the digital key sharing settings screen. Enter the full name and phone number of the person receiving the shared key accurately, check the permission, and then press the confirm button. The shared key will be sent via text message or push notification. Shared users can use the service after installing and signing up for the app. Users can check the key sharing results and information about shared users on the digital key sharing screen.

[Important Information]

• The Kia Digital Key service is available only for Android phone users.
• For available smartphone models, please refer to the Kia Members website (https://members.kia.com, go to Digital Kia > Kia Digital Key > Customer Support).
• For iPhone users, usage is limited due to Apple's NFC non-support policy.
• You can sign up for the Kia Digital Key service after creating a member account on the Kia Members website (https://members.kia.com).
• Download and install the Kia Digital Key App, then log in with your Kia Members ID/PW.
• For those sharing the key, download and install the Kia Digital Key App, then log in with your Kia Members ID/PW.
• Users sharing the key can use the Kia Digital Key immediately without a separate registration process for the vehicle.
• Digital key sharing is only available for primary users. Shared users cannot share the digital key with others.
• The provided features and displayed information may be subject to changes for performance and functionality improvements depending on the vehicle model with digital key and smartphone app version.
