The Reader application is designed specifically for clients of Tatra banka who have activated the Internet bankingTB service. Its primary function is to generate codes for logging in, activating, or authorizing transactions in Tatra banka's electronic channels.

The Reader serves as the equivalent of the standard Card and Reader authorization and authentication tool, offering the same level of security.

Activation of the reader can be done in three ways:

• Directly in the application: This method requires facial biometrics for activation. You'll need your PID (personal identification number), a valid Slovak ID card, an SMS code sent to your registered phone number, and a facial scan.
• In person at a branch
• By phone

During the activation process, the Reader prompts the user to set a login password with an expiration time determined by its complexity. Additionally, users have the option to set up fingerprint authentication for more convenient login.

An active internet connection is necessary for the initial activation and subsequent updates of the Reader application. However, once activated, it can also be used offline.

The current version of the Reader application is compatible with devices running Android 6 and higher operating systems.
