The Large Dictionary of German Sign Language for iPhone and iPad is a comprehensive reference tool designed for quick access to signs in Deutsche Gebärdensprache (DGS). It encompasses nearly 19,000 entries accompanied by video demonstrations of each sign.

The DGS dictionary offers an alphabetical list of entries and a search function for efficient navigation. A single tap on a word immediately plays the corresponding sign video, facilitating rapid learning and reference.

The application provides a free introduction with a selection of 80 words to familiarize users with its features. The remaining vocabulary is organized into ten thematic packages, which can be downloaded individually for a fee. Please note that the total download size amounts to approximately 2GB, so it is advisable to perform the download over a Wi-Fi connection. Once the content is downloaded, the app functions offline without requiring an internet connection.

For targeted practice, users can create personalized learning lists and choose to disable subtitles in the video playback mode, allowing for focused training and reinforcement.
