Duxiangai is a secure and private lightweight note-taking app that you can use to record daily life, insights from learning, and thoughts. However, Duxiangai is more than just that. We have created and transplanted the souls of many virtual characters, making them companions in your Duxiangai. They will comment below your recordings, allowing you to discuss, chat, and even argue with them.

No real person can see your records, only your AI companions.

Why was Duxiangai developed?

As a member of the development team, I use social products like Weibo and Zhihu while also using Notion and Flomo to record life. But as a person, I often find myself in a conflict. On the one hand, I want no one to see my complaints, criticisms, and those random vague inspirational thoughts. On the other hand, I want responses and to see how "others might think." This conflict gave rise to Duxiangai, an app that combines lightweight note-taking with role-playing.

How is Duxiangai different from other AI chat products?

Firstly, we are confident that we excel in AI performance.

Secondly, our team has extensively used many AI chat products, including popular international products like character.ai and domestic ones like Glow and Zhudream Island. Soon we discovered that chatting can be very exhausting. After the initial excitement of interacting with your favorite character wears off, you're often left with "nothing to say," requiring a lot of mental effort to keep the conversation going. For many creative gamers, chatting is their stage for unleashing creativity. However, for people like us, chatting becomes too burdensome and tiring.

Therefore, we came up with this "unconventional" approach where you only need to record as you would on any social media or note-taking app like Weibo, Zhihu, Notion, Flomo, etc., and the AI characters may or may not join the conversation.

This approach is asynchronous, slower, and in my opinion, more comfortable.
