Simple, focused Buddhist chanting app for dedicated practice
百萬念佛 by SHAO YU LIN is a straightforward devotional app aimed at supporting Pure Land/念佛 practice—providing guided chant audio, counting/tracking of recitations, and links to temple resources and teachings to help users maintain regular practice.
The program "Million Recitation of Buddha" from Ten-Fang Yuan Tong Temple presents Pure Land practice as simple, accessible, and entirely powered by Amitabha Buddha’s grace. It emphasizes collective recitation as a path to rebirth in the Pure Land and invites practitioners of all ages and abilities to participate.
- Purpose and approach: Aims for broad inclusion, prioritizing ease of use and reliance on Buddha’s grace to guide beings toward the Pure Land.
- Enrollment and access: There is no formal gatekeeping; participation is possible by showing up, with presence itself treated as a step within the practice.
- Accessibility adjustments: The participation method was revised to lower barriers, replacing strict prerequisites with encouragement to participate, thereby widening the potential audience.
- User experience: The program relies on compassionate guidance and community support to sustain ongoing recitation and shared practice.
