If you are seeking free books by Ivo Andrić, Meša Selimović, Borislav Pekić, Danilo Kiš, and many other renowned contemporary writers—look elsewhere. Their works are under copyright protection, meaning they are not available for free. This application does not offer them.

This is a collection of Serbian "classics": literature that is essential reading during elementary and, to a large extent, high school education. The works are presented as they were sourced from the internet.

All books fall under "public domain," where royalties for copyright no longer exist due to historical or voluntary reasons.

The majority of titles consist of texts from the "Anthology of Serbian Literature," a joint effort between the Teacher's Faculty in Belgrade and Microsoft Serbia, which has digitized much of Serbian classical literature and made it publicly available in Microsoft Word format.

The author of this program has not converted these texts into the EPUB e-book format.

While these e-books may not be formatted in the most optimal way, they are currently more than sufficient. In time, perhaps an enthusiastic user of this application will take on the task of reformatting these e-versions into something significantly more attractive. This is bound to happen eventually. After all, authors like Laza Lazarević, Čika Jova Zmaj, or Momo Kapor absolutely deserve it, as do their current and future readers.

The preferred e-book format within this application is EPUB.
