八式動禪 - 法鼓山 1.1

The Dharma Drum Eight-Form Dynamic Zen is a movement-based practice that blends physical exercise with meditative focus. Beyond its fitness benefits, it helps calm the mind, transform scattered attention into concentration, and promote body–mind integration. With regular practice, it can be applied to daily life to maintain relaxation and inner ease.

Designed to accommodate busy modern lives, the program integrates Zen practice with movement, drawing on years of experiential insight from Master Sheng Yen. It offers a time- and place-agnostic, simple-to-learn form of “meditation in motion” that is beneficial for body and mind. Practitioners can, through consistent training, use the method in walking, standing, sitting, or lying down to clearly experience body-mind relaxation and steady ease.
